The Canadian Pharmacy Technician Educators Association (CPTEA) was established to bring together pharmacy technician educators and administrators from accredited programs across Canada. Since its founding, CPTEA has grown into the national voice for pharmacy technician education — connecting educators, shaping standards, and advancing the profession from coast to coast.
Over the years, CPTEA has played a vital role in the development and ongoing evaluation of accreditation standards, fostering collaboration among educators, and ensuring that pharmacy technician programs across Canada remain rigorous, relevant, and responsive to the evolving needs of the healthcare system.
Today, CPTEA continues to grow its national community of educators and administrators, with a renewed focus on member engagement, professional development, and supporting the next generation of pharmacy technician educators across all provinces and territories.
CPTEA is governed by a volunteer Council made up of elected Executive Members and Provincial/Territorial Representatives. The 2025–2028 Council brings together experienced educators and administrators from institutions across Canada, united by a shared commitment to excellence in pharmacy technician education.
